Posted 30 March, 2025. It was a long journey around the planet from Australia to USA, but after two months at sea the Green Envy has finally arrived in a snow covered Maine!
The Loring Timing Association organizes fabulous land speed record attempts at the decommissioned Loring Air Force Base every year. The 2.5 mile long runway is perfect place for the Green Envy in its current stage of development. It isn’t the place the attempt the overall motorcycle record (currently at 376 mph), but the computer says we should be able to beat the current electric motorcycle record (currently just below 284 mph). The KillaJoule used to be the world’s fastest electric motorcycle at 270 mph, but it is now only number 2. The Green Envy was built to take back that record.
The public land speed events at Loring are held in July and September, but we may be able to organize an attempt already in June. Hopefully all the snow has melted away by then…
We want to thank Doug at SFE Manufacturing in Loring that took care of the Green Envy delivery and is storing it for us. The Green Envy travels in a custom outfitted container together with a literal tonne of support equipment. And yes, the dark green thing crammed in there is the bike. Packing the container is a master level Tetris game! We haven’t yet seen the Green Envy in person since it arrived in Maine, but the photos Doug sent indicates that it traveled well.
