If all goes to plan, our next record attempt will be in Loring, Maine, USA in June or July 2025. The Loring Timing Association holds some of the world’s nicest land speed events on one of the world’s longest runways. For example, the top sit-on motorcycle record at 311 mph was set there by Bill Warner.
While we love the folks at the DLRA Speed Week in Australia, the event is just too weather sensitive. At this early stage of the development of the Green Envy, we need “stick time”, and the place to get that is Loring. Even if the runway doesn’t allow for a 400 mph attempt, the computer says it should be long enough for a serious attempt to take back the electric motorcycle record. We would need to reach 284 mph to reclaim that title.
