OMG – we did it! 😮😅🥳 Bill and I loaded for 16 hours straight yesterday. The Green Envy and about two tons of support equipment was secured in the container with 6 hours to spare. Fingers crossed that it will all stay in place for the entire journey to Adelaide, Australia.
We arrived back home at 2:30 AM, and could barely make it up the stairs to the bedroom. The truck came to pick up the container this morning, and we barely could get out of bed. Places that I didn’t think could get sore are sore, like my toes and the underside of my feet. Not to speak of back and hands, of course.
Today’s pleasures include doing laundry and getting groceries – both my closet and fridge are empty; we have lived on delivery pizza for the last week and I haven’t had time to do laundry for about two weeks…. I am very much looking forward to a few weeks of vacation before we head over the Australia for the actual race.
