Loring here we come!

by Eva Hakansson

Posted 10 July, 2025. A much overdue update about the Green Envy progress. We are back on the road and our way to the July land speed event at Loring Timing Association in Northern Maine, USA.

We get a lot of questions about its current speed and records. Well, the Green Envy is still almost new despite being built over five years ago. So far it has only made nine runs down the track; four in Australia and five in Maine. Imagine building a 1000 hp car from scratch from pieces of tubing and driving nine laps around the block and then go for a world speed record. That’s basically where we are right now. 😉

There is plenty of speed in the bike and the computer says it should be able to do over 350 mph, but getting all four (!) power trains to work perfectly together has been a bit of a challenge. We chased out a lot of bugs during last month’s testing at Loring (a three-day private event), and we are hoping to increase the speed a bit this time. So far we have been to just under 200 mph, so we hope that this coming week’s top speed will at least start with a “2”.

Setting world speed records is a marathon, not a sprint. It took us 18 months before we set the first record with the KillaJoule, but we were aiming for much lower numbers back then. To take back our electric motorcycle record we need to hit 284 mph (457 km/h), so that’s the current target.

We will try our best to keep our social media updated with the progress.

P.S. Co-pilot Dolly says hi from Auckland Airport, New Zealand.
